GAME-CHANGING NAMES
Can you name all 11 players from the 1970 World Cup squad? Brazilians can, but sadly, they refer to all current female players by their shirt numbers instead of their names, leading to a lack of visibility for female players despite a long history of success.
As the leading supporter of women's football in Brazil, Guaraná Antarctica made the names of those changing the sport as big as their talent, using the area on their shirts designated to numbers to show their names in their last match before the 2023 World Cup.
These shirts increased the connection between fans and players, as supporters used the new kit before, during, and after World Cup matches to celebrate the athletes.
